This weeks geek is all about Music!
Stuff in my current playlist:

Foo Fighters-Wasting Light
I love this album so much!!!
I love it beginning to end and that is pretty rare for me these days.
Song to listen to? It is so hard to pick just one. When I listened to it every time the next song came on I would think "oh no. this is my fave."
My pick: Arlandria
Azure Ray-Drawing Down the Moon
I am a huge Maria Taylor fan.
This album is so fantastic. I am so glad they got back together.
Song to listen to? My fave: Dancing Ghosts

Maroon 5-Hands All Over
This came out a while ago but I am still listening to it.
Maroon 5 is my favorite band.
This isn't my favorite album of theirs but there are several songs on it that I really really love.
If you have the hots for front man Adam Levine like I do then you might like this "alternate" cover (very naughty...NSFW!)
Song to listen to? My fave: How

The Decemberists-The King is Dead
I've liked The Decemberists for a while now but this is the first album of theirs that I really love.
Song to listen to? My fave: Rise To Me

Mumford and Sons-Sigh No More
These guys are really trending right now and for a good reason!
So even if it makes me trendy...
Song to listen to? I love: Awake My Soul

Also, un-music related, but still media.
The easter bunny brought Jake season one of The Big Bang Theory and we
ate. it. up.
LOVED IT.

I am moving this weekend so posting might be a little thin for a little while but I still wanted to post some of the fun things I found this week!

(image via we heart it)
I really want to make one of these in a cute knit.

Jake has 7 guitars!!! So someday we will have these in our home.

The geek in me NEEDS this headband.

Ever since 500 Days of Summer I have wanted a chalkboard wall so badly. So I think for my new place I will be getting some of these.

and finally... I cannot wait to do this! (journaling and list making-two of my favorite things)

Hello Lovers,
I write this geek of the week post with the sun shining in the window and an iced chai next to me. I love my Fridays! Enjoy the following...

For the love of Meghan... if you maybe need a good cry. Meghan passed away from cancer and the man who loves her is working to complete her list of things she wanted to do before she died. I think it is beautiful.

I found Meghan's story via the podcast Snap Judgement on NPR (I have mad love for NPR). You should listen. It is "storytelling with a beat." The latest episode "Ain't No Sunshine" includes Meghan's story and others about love.

Operation Beautiful. "The mission of Operation Beautiful is to post anonymous notes in public places for other women to find. The point is that WE ARE ALL BEAUTIFUL. You are enough... just the way you are!" I think everyone should participate in this one! I'm going to try and do it sometime this week.

Honestly...wtf. Pretty pictures of pretty clothes. Enough said.

No-Fry churros. I will be trying these soon! (found via Sometimes Sweet)

THIS wedding cake. It is very me. (i have already decided what my cake will look like though...) I can't wait to have a wedding.

My fun finds this week:
This excelent cookie cutter! I found it at a store in the gateway mall in Salt Lake City for only 80 cents. The store is called Sur La Table. And boy could I spend lots of money in there. I also wonder how many Utahns actually pronounce it correctly.

I can't wait to make some punk rock cookies with it.
These skull beads are actually something I picked up in Stillwater, MN (my hometown) while I was home for Christmas but I can count them as a recent find since I re-found them in the bottom of my bag while cleaning up today.

We obviously have a thing for skulls.
I'm planning to use two of them and make myself some earrings and use the other one as a clasp on a bracelet for Jake (don't fret. it will be a manly bracelet. he always wears one made of parachord that when unwound can be used in an emergency situation. such a boy scout that one).

I also bought these in Stillwater (at a fab store called Mara Mi that I almost want to move back to MN for).

I've seen these cute little rolls of tape around on the internet for a while now and I have wanted some so badly so when I saw them I had to grab them. They are made of washi, a type of Japanese rice paper.
If, like me, you MUST own some... I found some online at another favorite store of mine Uncommon Goods.  I can't wait to use them in my journal.  (the plate I photographed them on is from Anthropologie)
